Sex Predators are allowed to roam free in Texas and across the Nation due to the lack of strong Laws to keep them quelled.
Counties without the budget to extradite allow the predators to escape justice. District Attorney's are protected by the Texas Laws when they choose to allow a sex predator to go free because of cronyism in counties between Attorney's and the DA's Office. Grand Juries indict the predator and then the County Judge and District Attorney allow the predator freedom. Our Attorney General ignores this issue and does not provide the necessary allowances to give the victims an escape route.
The Law then relies on the predator to be stopped on a moving violation or other criminal activity in order to be caught. But, the predators still go free because the counties without budgets and tasks forces to extradite refuse the captive predator. Texas must provide jurisdiction to other counties to take these predators to trial. There must be a monitoring system in place to prevent the predators from fleeing. A "No Bail" policy would prevent this.
District Attorney's must be accountable for their mistakes, not protected. When you are a victim, you should be made aware of these facts. You can ask the Governor’s assistance to use the Texas Rangers to catch the predator within a regulated time frame, but victims are not made aware of this.
You must help and support this cause! There are organizations outside of Texas making progress with this, but when they bring it to Texas; they are ignored by our Legislators. Texas is becoming a stomping ground for sex predators, and this is shameful. Please add your name and support this cause. Call your Legislators, write them, and write to your local papers.
